The primary focus lies in the chemical analysis of ores, metals, and recycling materials. This emphasis extends particularly to determining the precious metal contents, such as gold (Au), silver (Ag), platinum (Pt), palladium (Pd), rhodium (Rh), iridium (Ir), ruthenium (Ru), rhenium (Re), and osmium (Os). Additionally, analyses cover a spectrum of other elements including copper (Cu), nickel (Ni), chromium (Cr), iron (Fe), lead (Pb), antimony (Sb), arsenic (As), bismuth (Bi), tantalum (Ta), cadmium (Cd), and molybdenum (Mo).
